As we approach January, consider the many ways you might learn about and through the power of perspective.
Each Founder’s Day, Aileron honors Clay Mathile through a month of Learning, Doing, and Giving – three pillars Clay believed were essential to building a meaningful life. This year, the Aileron community is gathering on Campus on January 9 as we host a collection of perspective-themed development opportunities (and again on January 21 for one virtual session). We invite you to learn with us and register for one or many of the sessions below.
1. Business Owner Series
Join us for a discussion between Wes Gipe, an Aileron Business Coach, and Mark Brumfield, CEO of HEAPY, as Mark shares how he’s leveraged the power of perspective to change HEAPY for the better. Exclusively for business owners.
2. Finding Perspective with Empowering Questions
In this session, you’ll learn how a conscious leadership skill – asking empowering questions – can help you lead others to discover new perspectives and ideas and even spark thought shifts for yourself. This session is also offered virtually on January 21.
3. Finding Perspective through External Analysis
In this session, your Facilitator will guide you to actively assess external trends, threats, and opportunities that could impact your business, empowering you to experience a new perspective and spark ideas.
4. Mock Board Experience
Boards of advisors are an invaluable source of perspective for business owners. In this session, you’ll learn about the benefits and qualities of a high-performing board and see a mock board meeting first-hand.
5 additional ways to learn on your own this January
Can’t make it to Campus on January 9 or to our virtual offering on January 21? There are plenty of other meaningful ways to learn about and through perspective this January, like:
- Reading books and online articles or watching videos that inspire a new perspective
- Learning from the perspective of others through conversations with peers, friends, and mentors
- Developing your communication skills to better understand others in conflict
- Evolving your perspective of the marketplace by learning about what your competitors are doing or how your customers’ needs are changing
- Learning about empowering questions and using them to deepen your understanding of a close peer or loved one’s perspective or experience
How will you learn about and through the power of perspective this January?
