Day-to-Day Responsibilities

While your day-to-day will fluctuate, you can expect to switch between multiple responsibilities every day, including:

  1. Provide Client Support: You’ll support clients by guiding them through engagement plans, exceeding expectations in every interaction, from scheduling through event delivery.
  2. Lead the Customer Service Experience: You’ll oversee and manage the systems and processes for all client requests, assuring excellent customer service and support.
  3. Build and Install Delivery Processes: You will develop and manage scalable processes to deliver Aileron services. This includes studying feedback, enhancing the system, and ensuring team members are using the systems.
  4. Manage Projects: You’ll lead and execute projects collaboratively with the larger Client Engagement Team and other Aileron team members. Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in client facing coordination role
  • 3+ years in a team lead or management role
  • Must be available to work at Aileron’s campus 40 hours per week
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Aileron is seeking a task-oriented, part-time specialist to support the front desk experience, event set-up, customer service, and other administrative projects.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As the Client Engagement Specialist, most of your work will be in these areas:

  1. Front Desk Support: You’ll work on-campus at Aileron at the front desk. While at the front desk, you’ll welcome people to campus, oversee the check-in/check-out process, answer the phones, and respond to inquiries when people walk up to the front desk.
  2. Event Delivery: You’ll support on-site and remote events by organizing and setting-up materials, coordinating details and logistics while ensuring everything is executed with excellence.
  3. Inventory Support: You’ll build inventory boxes, organize and put away leftover materials from past events, and make lists of what’s available and what’s needed.
  4. Client Follow-Up: You’ll work closely with the team to follow-up on client inquiries and requests via email or phone. You’ll have the opportunity to write thank-you notes as needed.
  5. Operations Support: You’ll be asked to support projects often as there is always exciting work that needs resourced.

Aileron is seeking an analytical thinker and problem solver who’s eager to learn and execute all things accounting and finance as a paid Accounting Intern.

Who You Are

  • You’re looking to master the practice, foundation, and principles of accounting.
  • You’re detail-oriented, and you find joy in accurate record keeping.

  • You see outstanding balances as opportunities to act, and you enjoy the follow up.
  • You value collaborating both within your team and interdepartmentally.
  • You appreciate process, and even more so, process improvement.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As the Accounting Intern, you’ll switch between multiple hats, including:

  1. Manage accounts receivable and payable: You’ll process daily sales transactions, reconcile cash receipts with bank details, follow up on outstanding balances, obtain approval for vendor invoices, process vendor payments, and allocate expenses appropriately.
  2. Keep customer and vendor information: You’ll support accurate record keeping by reviewing, correcting, and maintaining customer and vendor information in Aileron’s accounting software.
  3. Maintain 1099 records: You’ll lead the record-keeping process for 1099 eligible vendors and complete Form 1099 for all eligible vendors annually.
  4. Support accounting department and process improvement: You’ll work closely with the team on a variety of projects, contributing to the scalability and improvement of Aileron’s accounting systems.
  5. Document systems and processes: You’ll collaborate with the team to make systems and processes that contribute to Aileron’s sustainability and efficiency.

Your Team

  • Your team lead, Lindsey Bahr, oversees general accounting, human resources, and legal. She joined Aileron for the work-life balance and the opportunity to wear many hats at a small, growing organization.
  • The Accounting team is in growth mode. You’ll join an expanding team and learn from experienced accounting and finance professionals.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing business degree with focus in accounting
  • Completed Introduction to Accounting courses
  • Available 12-15 hours per week for the next 12-18 months, with the option to work full-time in the summer
  • Strong Excel skills
