Aileron is seeking a task-oriented, part-time specialist to support the front desk experience, event set-up, customer service, and other administrative projects.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As the Client Engagement Specialist, most of your work will be in these areas:

  1. Front Desk Support: You’ll work on-campus at Aileron at the front desk. While at the front desk, you’ll welcome people to campus, oversee the check-in/check-out process, answer the phones, and respond to inquiries when people walk up to the front desk.
  2. Event Delivery: You’ll support on-site and remote events by organizing and setting-up materials, coordinating details and logistics while ensuring everything is executed with excellence.
  3. Inventory Support: You’ll build inventory boxes, organize and put away leftover materials from past events, and make lists of what’s available and what’s needed.
  4. Client Follow-Up: You’ll work closely with the team to follow-up on client inquiries and requests via email or phone. You’ll have the opportunity to write thank-you notes as needed.
  5. Operations Support: You’ll be asked to support projects often as there is always exciting work that needs resourced.

Your Team

  • Your leader: Sara Wiggershaus leads Aileron’s business functions of sales, scheduling, service delivery, and customer service. She has a passion for evolving the way we work and is always looking for ways to make it easier for members of our community to engage with us.
  • Your team: The Client Engagement team works extremely collaboratively and are passionate about our mission. You can expect to work with your team every day to lead and execute exceptional experiences for our clients.

Qualifications

  • Available to work onsite at Aileron, 3-4 days a week, M-F, ideally between 1:30 and 5:30 PM
  • 1-2 years work experience
  • Experience in customer service, events, or inventory is a plus

Note: Client Engagement Specialist is a part-time contract role. Not eligible for 401(k) or health benefits.

Aileron is seeking a Marketing Intern to join the team as a dynamic contributor to day-to-day marketing operations and big-picture marketing strategies alike, helping to explore new and better ways of engaging with our community, executing campaigns, measuring success, and refining our processes based on learnings.

Who You Are

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  1. Marketing content management: You’ll manage and monitor all of our communications platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, HubSpot, Cerkl, YouTube, and more. You’ll also contribute fresh creative ideas as we explore new ways of engaging our community via digital channels.
  2. Project management: You’ll be a key player in marketing execution, and will work to carry out campaigns and coordinate events.
  3. Research and analytics: You’ll study our metrics to help us identify ways to get better, and use that data to refine our processes and recommend new approaches.
  4. Cross-departmental collaboration: You’ll experience the breadth of the organization as you support efforts like research and development, product and brand management, and client services as needed.
  5. Training and transitioning: Just like our current Marketing Intern will help you get to know Aileron, you’ll help train our future intern, documenting processes and helping them understand and navigate the organization and their role.

Your Team

  • Your lead: Jennifer Rohren is Aileron’s Marketing Coordinator. She works with the Marketing team to study, plan, execute, and evaluate Aileron’s marketing strategies to better engage current community members and attract new community members.
  • Your team: The Marketing team is led by Stacy Sheldon and supported by a lineup of writers, designers, and contributors who help bring Aileron’s marketing strategies to life. The team is highly collaborative; you can expect to work with and contribute to the team every day.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a marketing, communications, and business management/administration Bachelor’s degree
  • Available to work at the Aileron campus 12-15 hours per week during the school year and full-time during summer break
  • Current sophomore or junior is preferred
  • Position is paid $12/hr

Aileron is seeking an analytical thinker and problem solver who’s eager to learn and execute all things accounting and finance as a paid Accounting Intern.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As the Accounting Intern, you’ll switch between multiple hats, including:

  1. Manage accounts receivable and payable: You’ll process daily sales transactions, reconcile cash receipts with bank details, follow up on outstanding balances, obtain approval for vendor invoices, process vendor payments, and allocate expenses appropriately.
  2. Keep customer and vendor information: You’ll support accurate record keeping by reviewing, correcting, and maintaining customer and vendor information in Aileron’s accounting software.
  3. Maintain 1099 records: You’ll lead the record-keeping process for 1099 eligible vendors and complete Form 1099 for all eligible vendors annually.
  4. Support accounting department and process improvement: You’ll work closely with the team on a variety of projects, contributing to the scalability and improvement of Aileron’s accounting systems.
  5. Document systems and processes: You’ll collaborate with the team to make systems and processes that contribute to Aileron’s sustainability and efficiency.

Your Team

  • Your team lead, Lindsey Bahr, oversees general accounting, human resources, and legal. She joined Aileron for the work-life balance and the opportunity to wear many hats at a small, growing organization.
  • The Accounting team is in growth mode. You’ll join an expanding team and learn from experienced accounting and finance professionals.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing business degree with focus in accounting
  • Completed Introduction to Accounting courses
  • Available 12-15 hours per week for the next 12-18 months, with the option to work full-time in the summer
  • Strong Excel skills
