What is Founder’s Day?
Founder’s Day is an annual time for Aileron’s community to come together to meaningfully advance the work Clay Mathile put in motion when he founded Aileron.
Each January, Aileron will lead our community through an intentional period of learning, doing, and giving experiences — three pillars Clay adamantly believed were the foundations of building a meaningful life and organization.
Founder’s Day — and the activities surrounding it — provide an opportunity for Aileron’s community of business owners, leaders, and advocates to contribute to Aileron’s vision of being a thriving community of professionally managed organizations that raises the quality of life across America.
Founder’s Day is also an opportunity for us all to give back and continue the entrepreneurial lifecycle — a responsibility that motivated Clay’s founding of Aileron and one he believed was paramount to building thriving communities and fortifying our nation’s economic health.

Founder’s Day 2024 Recap: A Visionary Community Coming Together to Dream
Founder’s Day 2024 was a beautiful and energizing time for our community of business owners, leaders, and advocates. The month-long celebration centered around a cornerstone of Clay’s life and his personal mantra: “Dream no little dreams.”
During January, our community came together to realize the power of creating, sharing, manifesting, and realizing dreams, both as an individual and within a business. Hundreds of community members articulated their own dream in a Personal Vision Workshop, which we offered four times because demand was so high. In the workshop, participants were guided through clarifying their dream and contemplating ways to move it forward.
Community members who visited Campus during January were able to partake in our specially installed Dream Tour — a self-guided Campus walkthrough with reflection stations throughout the building that prompted further exploration and journaling about their dreams. Community members also learned about Clay’s dream by reading or purchasing his memoir, “Dream No Little Dreams.”
We also invited our community to contribute to Aileron’s Forever Fund, and collectively our community donated $15,840 to support our mission and future.
In total, more than 200 community members participated in Founder’s Day and spent time in January doing the world-changing work of dreaming; that’s 200+ visions that were meaningfully advanced that might otherwise have been left unspoken. We’re energized to continue to support our community as they work toward their dreams and look forward to gathering for Founder’s Day again on January 9, 2025.
