Use outside experts to improve inside operations. They can bring serious skill and perspective to benefit your business mission. A host of reasons exist to employ an outside board, but here are some of the better ones:

  • They support your mission.
  • They add fresh perspectives.

  • They bring experience and wisdom.
  • They provide accountability and keep you focused.

What to Expect

Aileron’s High Performing Boards program is designed for the business leader in need of creating a board—or improving an existing one. It’s a one-day program that demystifies an outside board and begins by answering three questions: Why do companies use a board? What does a high-performing board do? and How do they do it? You’ll practice leading a board meeting and engage in a panel discussion with seasoned business owners and board members.

After the full day with peers, you’ll meet with a Business Advisor to follow through with planning so that you can continually evolve and improve your board.

If you’re willing to work and subject yourself to the scrutiny of others, (creating a board) is the best investment you’ll ever make in your life.

Aileron’s founder and former chairman of Iams Corporation.
