How do your values shape the culture?
At the heart of our problems with other people are often conflicts in values. We may value different things than others, or, we may value the same thing and act on it differently. It can be hard to understand others if we don’t understand our own filter- the lens of our personal values and beliefs that shape how we view the world and everything around us.
By clarifying our lens, we can better suspend judgement of ourselves and others. You can continually work on how you express your values, and in turn, better influence the relationship you have with yourself, others, and how you get work done. Doing so also influences how you’re adding to and fostering an engaged culture within your organization.
