David S. Arends, AIA, is the President + CEO of CR architecture + design, a national architecture firm specialized in commercial, education, government, hospitality, housing and retail design. David’s distinguished architecture career of over 25 years includes starting his own firm, which merged with CR in 2002.
In 2004, David transitioned into his current role as CEO + President. He has provided executive leadership on large-scale, corporate complexes to small municipal facilities, including such notable projects as The Banks Phase 1A and The School for Creative & Performing Arts in Cincinnati. David continually evolves CR’s services to bring clients value by keeping their objectives top of mind and grows the company by strategically evaluating and building relationships with key targeted clients.
David is the current president of the non-profit Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati and actively serves on other Boards and organizations. He has a Master of Architecture degree from Miami University and is professionally registered in 46 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Ontario, Canada. He resides in Cincinnati and is married with two teenage daughters.
